I like about 4 of 5 things I write. Making that ratio higher is a goal.
EDIT: I don't really want to train myself to spend more time editing stories and poetry.
What do other people do? Do they write things they hate and do twenty drafts? Do they love everything they write and look at it once?
Give me answers.
MORE THOUGHTS: This story was edited using suggestions from the editor. I liked his suggestions. I like the 'Titular version' of the story. I think sometimes a second voice can help.

4 out of 5 is a lot. you should be happy with that.
i junk a lot of stuff. usually the less i have to rewrite, the better it feels in the end, and the more success i have with it getting published. at least so far.
its a balance between thinking and overthinking.
4 out of 5 is really high. i think i'm at 2 out of 5. usually the stuff i like i don't edit very much. if i find myself editing a piece a lot i usually realize somewhere in the process that i don't like the piece.
'its a balance between thinking and overthinking.' yeah.
i feel the same way about editing. the less i edit something, or the less i feel i should, the better it feels.
thanks for the answers, everyone.
i know i am definitely happy with about 0 out of 0 things that i write. once it goes beyond that, i can't tell you what's what
